Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development Mai Al-Baghli announced Friday that Kuwait will launch on Saturday a nationwide campaign to raise donations for the quake-affected people in Turkiye and Syria.

In a news conference, Al-Baghli, also minister of state for women and childhood, said that the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign aims to help alleviate the suffering the quake-traumatized people and to show solidarity with the Turkish and Syrian people. She added that the campaign is organized in collaboration with the ministries of foreign affairs and information. The minister stated that donations would be accepted as of Saturday 12:00 p.m. until mid-night of the same day.

On Tuesday, Al-Baghli said that the Ministry of Social Affairs approved applications from 30 Kuwaiti charities and agencies to contribute to the donation campaign to help Syria and Turkiye
