Minister Al-Fares: Kuwait is keen on facilitating joint operations in Divided Zone

Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, Minister of Electricity and Water and Sustainable Energy Mohammad Al-Fares has stressed the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s keenness on offering all possible means of support to the joint operations in the Kuwaiti- Saudi Divided Zone oil fields.

This reflects the deep-rooted ties between both nations, Al-Fares affirmed on Sunday.

A statement issued by KPC quoted Minister’s remarks after his field trip to the Divided Zone, to inspect the latest projects and operations conducted by the Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Chevron oil Company from the Saudi side.

Both companies are meeting all the required safety measures to support projects aiming at increasing oil production in the Zone at the ultimate economic beneficial manner, he said.

He hailed the distinguished ties with Chevron officials, and the trust he has in their ability to overcomes challenges related to increasing oil production and implemenating highest safety and environmental standards.

The minister was accompanied by KPC acting CEO Wafa Al-Za’abi, and they were received by senior officials at KGOC.
