Ministry of Islamic Affairs Signs MoU with Chadian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs


Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Islamic affairs with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad in Jeddah today. The Chadian side was represented by Chairman of the Council Dr. Mohamed Khater Issa in the presence of several officials from both sides.

The memorandum outlines a comprehensive plan for enhancing cooperation in Islamic fields. It includes the implementation of scientific seminars and training courses for preachers, imams, and workers in Islamic affairs, as well as mosque construction, maintenance, and restoration. Additionally, the memorandum addresses the issue of electronic advocacy, aiming to counter sites that incite violence and extremism, offend Islam, and divide Muslims.

Minister Al Al-Sheikh emphasized the ministry’s commitment to fostering cooperation to promote Islam’s values and moderation, aligning with the Kingdom’s global message. He noted that the MoU will advance th
e interests of Islam and Muslims, particularly in Chad.

Dr. Mohamed Khater Issa commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their dedication to serving Islam and Muslims worldwide. He highlighted that the MoU represents a significant step toward strengthening Islamic cooperation between the two parties.
