MoH launches blood donation campaign

Kuwait Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday the launch of a blood donation campaign (Kuwait in My Blood) starting Wednesday in the Central Blood Bank.

In a statement for KUNA, head of the blood transfer department in the Ministry of Health Reem Al-Radhwan said that this campaign comes on the occasion of the national holidays of Kuwait.

“This is the fifth year for the campaign, and it aims to spread awareness about giving for our country as our national duty towards it,” she said.

“In 2021, we were able to collect 83,778 bags of blood from all branches, but this year we seek to increase the number of donators to meet the clinical needs of the hospitals and to change the understanding of donation in the time of need,” she noted.
