MoH negates private hospitals importing vaccines rumor

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health negated on Wednesday the rumors that were spread on social media outlets about the ministry denying private hospitals from import coronavirus vaccines.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health issued a decree last February that permits private hospitals and health centers to import the approved COVID-19 vaccines.

In the same context, Union of the Owners of Private Medical Professions affirmed that importing medicines and vaccines must go through franchisees and registered medical companies, therefore, private hospitals can only give vaccines if provided by the those companies in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
