RABAT, Morocco, on Wednesday, expressed its deep regret for the Algerian decision to break off diplomatic relations with it.

The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said in a statement, issued by the Maghreb Arab Press Agency, on Tuesday evening, that the Kingdom took note of the “unilateral decision” of the Algerian authorities to cut diplomatic relations.

The statement added “Morocco will remain a reliable and loyal partner of the Algerian people and will continue to work to develop the good and constructive relations”.

On Tuesday, Algeria’s has decided to severe diplomatic ties with Morocco due to historic and political disputes.
