OIC Secretary-General Extends Eid Al-Fitr Greetings to Muslims


Jeddah, On the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire Islamic nation. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to accept their fasting and wished for the spread of goodness throughout the Islamic world.

He further conveyed his congratulations to the kings, presidents, and princes. He extended his special congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.

Taha expressed his deep gratitude for Allah’s blessings, but at the same time, he felt a profound sadness due to the Israeli aggression towards the Palestinian people. He called upon Allah to safeguard the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Taha also highlighted the OIC’s unwavering support for the Rohingya refugees, the Muslims residing in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as those affected by conflicts and crises in different regions. He expressed his hope that the war in
Sudan would come to an end.

Taha concluded his speech with a heartfelt expression of his hope for peace, goodness, security, and prosperity to permeate the entire world. He also hoped to eradicate the deep-seated roots of hatred, violence, extremism, and terrorism. He urged that this occasion serve as a moment of self-reflection and ongoing collaborative efforts to surmount the obstacles that confront the Islamic world.
