Over 655,000 Worshipers in Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa in First 20 Days of Ramadan


Madinah: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque announced on Friday receiving 19,899,991 worshipers and visitors in the Prophet’s Mosque from 1 to 20 of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 AH.

According to the authority, 1,643,288 people visited the Prophet’s (PBUH) tomb and 655,277 visited Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, of which 358,632 were men and 296,595 women.

Some 50,820 people benefited from the sites designated for older people, 256,804 received directions service, 144,382 used the communication channels, 46,877 visited exhibitions, 310,161 benefitted from translation service, 46,877 visited the library, and 185,544 used the transportation service.

The authority also distributed 483,560 bottles of Zamzam water and 649,884 gifts, and offered 5,901,198 meals to people to break their fast.

The authority increased its coordination with the security, service, emergency and volunteer agencies to provide services that assist visitors and worshipers at the Prophet’s Mosque.
