Pakistan to celebrate the first day of Eid Al Fitr on Saturday as the Shawwal moon was not sighted in the country.
Pakistan’s Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Thursday announced that Eid Al Fitr would fall on Saturday, as the Shawwal moon had not been sighted.
The announcement was made by the committee’s chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad in a press conference here in Islamabad. He confirmed that moon-sighting testimonies were not received from any area in the country.
