Palestinian Foreign Ministry starts 3rd phase of evacuating Palestinians from Khartoum

The third phase of the process of evacuating Palestinian citizens from the Sudanese capital Khartoum began Thursday when 227 citizens and students entered Egyptian territory, the political advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ambassador Ahmad Al-Deek confirmed.

Al-Deek added in a statement that some of them will head to the Rafah Border Crossing towards the Gaza Strip, and the other part will head to Cairo International Airport towards their families abroad, including the holders of Lebanese documents.

The first group of Palestinians, military students and civilians moved towards Jeddah, to be followed by another group on another Saudi ship towards Jeddah as well, he said, explaining that the number of Palestinians who left towards Jeddah was 132 citizens.

Al-Deek expressed gratitude and appreciation from the state of Palestine to Egypt as well as Saudi Arabia for all the facilities it provided in securing the Palestinians transportation to their destination.
