Kuwait Women’s Institute for Development and Peace is set to launch the sixth edition of the “Peace Festival”, with Gulf participation and in collaboration with Kuwait Society of Lawyers and Mishref Cooperative Society.

The two-day event, which coincides with the country’s marking of national celebrations, features an array of relevant activities, mainly two flag-raising marches, the institute’s chairwoman Kawthar Al-Jouan said in a press statement on Saturday.

The festival will see the first-ever Gulf presence, which would certainly contribute to boosting amity, fraternity and intimacy among the citizens of all the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, Al-Jouan added.

Kuwaiti, Bahraini and Omani pop bands will give performances during the festival, she pointed out
