People with Disabilities Have Prayer Areas Allocated to Them in the Grand Mosque

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has allocated in the Grand Mosque six prayer areas for people with disabilities, to ensure that they can perform their rituals comfortably.

These areas have tayammum pads (dry ritual purification), white canes for the blind, copies of the holy Quran equipped with reader pens for the elderly, and sign language interpreters qualified to translate sermons and religious lessons.

The authority also provides wheelchairs and electric carts in these areas, to ensure that persons with disabilities enjoy the utmost comfort.
