A 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred north east of Kuwait, said the Kuwait National Seismic Network (KNSN) on Saturday.

In a statement, KNSN said that the quake happened at 3:18 a.m. local-time in Kuwait at a depth of seven kilometers.

The KNSN is an entity affiliated with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).
