Remains Of Iraqi And Iranian Soldiers From The 1980s War In Exchanged At Al-Shalamcheh Border Crossing, Basra

Today, Thursday, the remains of soldiers, victims of the war between the two countries in the eighties of the last century, were exchanged between Iraq and Iran at al-Shalamcheh border crossing.

A security source said, “The Iraqi side handed over the remains of 18 Iranian soldiers, 8 of whom are known and the others are unknown, while the Iranian side handed over the remains of 8 Iraqi soldiers, all of whom are unidentified.”
