Riyadh, Moscow commited to OPEC+ decision until end of “23”

RIYADH, March 16 (KUNA) — Saudi Arabia and Russia on Thursday affirmed their commitment to the decision made by OPEC+ on reducing oil production by two million b/d until the end of 2023.

This came during a meeting held between Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, Head of the Saudi side in the Joint Saudi-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation; and Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of Russian, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The two sides discussed preparations for the joint committee’s next meeting and methods of developing and strengthening Saudi-Russian relations in a way that serves interests of both countries, in line with the joint committee’s work, the agency added.

They further dealt with the global oil markets and the efforts of the OPEC+ group aiming to promote market balance and stability, it made clear. (end) mdm.tma.hm
