The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is scheduled to participate in the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2023), planned to be held between July 25 and 28 at the Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkiye.

The participation of GAMI is part of the Saudi pavilion that includes several government agencies, major Saudi national institutions and companies specializing in the field of military, defence and security industries, including the Saudi Arabian Military Industries, National Company for Mechanical Systems, Saudi Chemical Company Limited, Intra Defense Technologies, ERAF Industrial Company, and the World Defense Show.

This participation aims to highlight the investment environment rich in promising high-quality opportunities in the sector by opening international cooperation aspects with major regional and global companies, enabling Saudi companies specializing in defence and security industries to conclude several strategic partnerships with investors interested in the sector’s quality opportunities, as well as promoting the local capabilities of the sector and advanced technologies that can meet the global needs of military apparatuses.

GAMI’s participation underscores the unlimited support of the military and security industries sector in the Kingdom and the special attention of the wise leadership to boost the Kingdom’s strategic independence, developing its national military-industrial capabilities, and seeking to localize this vital sector with more than 50% of military expenditure on military equipment and services by 2030, in a bid to make the sector an essential provider of the Kingdom’s economy by supporting local investors, attracting qualitative investments to the sector, transferring and localizing technology, and providing job opportunities for Saudis.
