SDAIA Trains 80 Specialists in Professional Large Language Model Program

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has launched a professional training program on large language models (LLMs). The in-person program brought together 80 technology specialists to empower national talent and equip them with advanced skills and knowledge in LLMs.

Throughout the program, participants will delve into various topics, including data collection and processing for LLM training, fine-tuning pre-trained models, evaluating model performance and selecting appropriate metrics, deploying models in real-world applications using APIs like Hugging Face, and understanding ethical considerations associated with LLMs, such as avoiding bias, ensuring transparency, and improving reliability.

The intensive training will cover reinforcement learning techniques, safety measures, supervision tools, adversarial prompting, and real-world LLM applications. Participants will also explore prompting techniques for specific models like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.

SDAIA aims to build specialized national
capabilities in LLMs through this program to foster the development of LLM applications, bridge the gap in this field, and enhance Saudi talent’s contributions to elevating Saudi Arabia’s data- and AI-driven economies.
