Six were killed and dozens injured by gunfire during Halloween celebrations in the United States of America

Baghdad, NBC reported that at least 6 people were killed and more than 40 others were injured by gunfire during a Halloween celebration in the United States, and there were reports of 3 other deaths in several cities in the country.

It should be noted that Halloween is traditionally celebrated on October 31, and since this date falls on a working day in the year 2023, celebrations were held in many American cities on the night of the current 28-29.

Shooting incidents occurred at several similar parties in the United States. In the city of Tampa, Florida, two people were killed and 18 others were injured due to a mass quarrel that developed into an exchange of gunfire.

Also in Indianapolis, Indiana, during a youth party that attracted more than 100 people, a shooting killed one person and injured 8 others. All victims are between 16 and 22 years old.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officers were able to arrest several people in possession of firearms.

For his part, the city’s mayor, Joe Gosset, wrote on his account on the “X” website : “There are too many firearms in the hands of those who have no business with those weapons, and often the result is violence.”

In the same context, a shooting occurred in Chicago, Illinois, where an unknown person opened fire on a celebration held in one of the areas. As a result, 15 people were taken to the hospital, and the criminal was arrested and detained by the police who arrived at the scene.

In addition, fatal shooting incidents were recorded in the cities of Texarkana, Texas, Merced, California, and Mansfield, Ohio.

Local police departments reported that 6 people were killed in those accidents there.
