Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) has conducted inspection tours on violators of passenger transport during Ramadan to curb the phenomenon of unlicensed transport at the Kingdom’s airports. The tours detected 2,194 violations and seized 1,217 vehicles, in addition to detecting 126 repeat violations.
TGA noted that the inspection campaign covered all major airports in the Kingdom. The percentage of violators at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was 38%, at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was 30%, at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah was 15%, at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was 12%, and at Taif International Airport was 5%.
The authority pointed out that its inspection campaigns aim to enhance passenger safety, organize the passenger transport sector, and encourage the use of licensed means of transportation approved by the authority to ensure a safe and reliable travel experience for all.

ng operations to monitor all airports in the Kingdom, imposing financial fines of up to SAR5,000, and impounding the vehicle, with the violator incurring the cost of the impoundment, in order to curb the phenomenon of unlicensed transport and ensure the safety and security of passengers.
