The Assistant Commander-In-Chief Of The Ukrainian Armed Forces Killed As A Result Of A Hand Grenade Explosion Inside His House

Baghdad, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaloghny, announced that his assistant, Gennady Chastyakov, was killed as a result of a hand grenade explosion inside his house.

Zaloghny said in a statement: “A package arrived at Chastyakov’s house, and when he opened it, a bomb exploded in his face and he was killed instantly.”

He added, “The causes and circumstances of the accident will be determined through a judicial investigation.”

In the same context, Mariana Reva, spokeswoman for the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, said that the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was killed “as a result of dealing with a grenade.”
