The Intelligence Agency dismantled a drug trafficking network and arrested three of its members, after clashing with them in Al-Muthanna Governorate.

A statement by the Agency stated that: “Based on accurate intelligence information and after follow-up and investigation, detachments of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency arrested three wanted persons after wounding two of them in Al-Muthanna Governorate and dismantling their criminal network, after the wanted persons used various weapons and grenades against the Intelligence Service’s detachments.”

It added: “Narcotic substances were seized in the possession of the defendants, which included a quantity of crystal and narcotic pills, and they were referred to the competent authorities.”
