The Iraqi Drilling Company announces the completion of drilling a new oil well in Al-Gharraf oil field

The Iraqi Drilling Company announced today, Tuesday, the completion of drilling a new oil well in Al-Gharraf oil field.

The company stated in a statement: “The technical and engineering personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of the directional oil well C-153 P at a deviation angle of 34 degrees at a depth of 2790 meters within the contract concluded with the Malaysian Petronas Company to drill 28 oil wells in Al-Gharraf oil field, which is the sixteenth well, which the company is accomplishing within this project,” noting that “drilling operations were carried out using the IDC 58 drilling rig with a horsepower capacity of 2000 horsepower, which is one of the modern equipment owned by the company.”

It added: “The device will be moved with the crawling technology to another location in the same field to start drilling the C-179P oil well.”
