The Minister of Health: 800 doctors have benefited from the KIMS program

Health Minister Khaled Al-Said said on Sunday that 800 medical residents and trainees in various fields have benefited from the training program of the Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialties ( KIMS).

At an Institute Institutional Recognition Renewal Ceremony (KIMS) of the Royal Canadian College of Surgeons, Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialties Secretary General Fawaz Al-Refai said the renewal reflects the The institute’s insistence on institutional excellence and boundless ambition to keep pace with the latest global developments.

For her part, the CEO of the Royal College of Canada, Susan Bruce, spoke about the work to improve postgraduate medical education in Kuwait as well as in the Gulf region and in Canada, highlighting a common goal, which is the continuous quest to prepare specialist physicians to meet the ever-changing health needs of patients.

At the end of the event, Al-Rifai explained in statements to reporters that the relationship with Canada is close, dating back to the eighties of the last century, highlighting an increase in the number of scholarships for Kuwaiti doctors in Canada.
