The Minister of Justice, Khaled Shawani, approved the recommendations of the joint committee formed by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice regarding the adoption of the (ICass) system, regarding the validity of the issuance of agencies organized outside Iraq for the purpose of shortening time and accuracy in ensuring the validity of their issuance in order to simplify procedures for citizens.

The Minister confirmed in a statement that within the framework of implementing the governmental curriculum and with the aim of simplifying procedures and providing justice services to citizens as smoothly as possible, the (ICass) system was approved in order to organize all agencies issued by consulates and diplomatic missions abroad.

Shawani pointed out that adopting the issuance of this system will contribute effectively to reducing the phenomenon of manipulation and fraud of agencies, and preserving the property of the Iraqi community abroad.

He explained: “This step comes within the Ministry of Justice’s steps to adopt electronic automation in all the justice departments in the Ministry and their formations according to the ministerial program.”
