The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, sent today, Monday, a congratulatory message to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his re-election for a new presidential term.

Rashid said in a telegram to Erdogan: “On the occasion of your re-election for a new presidential term, we extend to you in the name of the Iraqi people and in our own name our warmest congratulations coupled with sincere wishes for success in your duties, praying to the Almighty to grant you and your friendly neighbor people prosperity.”

He added: “We seize this happy occasion to renew to you Iraq’s constant keenness to develop the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between our two friendly countries and peoples, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of security, stability and regional and international peace.”
