The President: The Basic Duty Is To Protect The Constitution, Establish Security And Stability, And Provide Services To Citizens

Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed that the basic duty is to protect the constitution, establish security and stability, and provide services to citizens.

The President of the Republic indicated, during receiving, the delegation of the Iraqi Parliamentarians Union, headed by Montaser Al-Emarah, according to a statement from his office, that the basic duty is to protect the constitution, establish security and stability, provide services to citizens, and rehabilitate the infrastructure, indicating that the Presidency of the Republic has submitted several draft laws to the House of Representatives for the purpose of approving them, as well as the work is underway to reconsidering the decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, and the Presidency of the Republic has worked to release detainees whose sentences have expired.”

According to the statement, the President of the Republic touched on Iraq’s good relations with neighboring countries and the world, noting in this regard the desire of the leaders of friendly and brotherly countries for Iraq to take its pivotal role in the region in order to establish security and stability.

For their part, members of the delegation praised the proposals presented by the President regarding supporting the legislative institution and working to achieve citizens’ demands and meet their needs.
