The delegation of our youth football team arrived in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, today, Wednesday, at 1:00 am local time in Argentina, at 7:00 am Baghdad time, after a tiring journey to participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will start in 20th of this month.
The Iraqi Football Association said in a statement, “Our team’s trip to Argentina lasted about (25) hours, as it started from the capital, Baghdad, to the Turkish city of Istanbul, then to the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, after a journey that lasted (13) hours and a half without stopping, and after two hours of Waiting Our team delegation moved to the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, via a two-and-a-half-hour flight.
Our youth team will meet Uruguay on the twenty-second of this month, in its first match in Group D in the World Cup. / End
