Tomorrow, the Turkish Minister of Trade will make an official visit to Iraq

The Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Polat, intends to make an official visit to Iraq, tomorrow, Tuesday, accompanied by a number of representatives of the business world in Turkey.

Sources at the Turkish Ministry of Commerce said that Polat will meet during his visit with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid and Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.

Polat will also meet with Ministers of Trade Atheer Al-Ghurairy, Planning Minister Muhammad Ali Tamim, Minister of Transport Razak Al-Saadawi, and Minister of Construction and Housing Bankin Rayakani.

Polat will discuss with Iraqi officials ways to strengthen the existing economic relations between the two countries, and to strengthen the role of Turkish companies in Iraq.

It is noteworthy that Turkey’s exports to Iraq increased over the past year by 24 percent compared to 2021 exports, to reach $13.7 billion./ End
