Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim sent letters of condolences to the families of 10 Kuwaitis, missing since the 1990 Iraqi invasion, who were buried on Wednesday after their remains were received from Iraqi authorities.

The 10 Kuwaitis were prisoners of war during the Iraqi invasion of 1990. They were laid to rest at a military funeral in their honour in Kuwait.

The parliament chief recalled the heroism of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their nation’s freedom.

Crowds of mourners attended the proceedings, including government ministers and leading officials in the country
