Top Sudan official grateful for Kuwait’s development support

A top Sudanese official said on Sunday he was grateful for Kuwait’s support at this current juncture, citing a bilateral deal aiming to propel bilateral cooperation to greater levels.

Naming the Kuwait-based Arab Planning Institute as amongst the most prominent contributors to development in the African nation, the visiting Sudanese cabinet’s secretary general Othman Hussain said in a statement to KUNA amid talks with the organization’s chief Dr. Bader Malallah.

On the purpose behind his visit, the Sudanese official said he aims to push further investment relations with Kuwait in a bid to clear any impediments that may encumber Kuwaiti investments in Khartoum, which now has ample opportunities to offer, he underlined.

“The talks highlighted Sudan’s dire need of such assistance at this time,” the Kuwaiti official told KUNA, mentioning an agreement Khartoum signed with his organization last year that aims to bring such aid to fruition
