Turkish FM stresses to his British counterpart the need to reduce tension in the Red Sea


Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed to his British counterpart David Cameron the need to reduce tension in the Red Sea.

Fidan indicated to his British counterpart during a phone call today, according to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry, that the region is already experiencing many conflicts, stressing the need to reduce tension in the Red Sea.

During the phone call, Fidan confirmed Turkey’s readiness to carry out its duty in this context, while discussing the recent situation in the Gaza Strip with his British counterpart.

In this context, Fidan stressed the need to end the war in Gaza and acts of violence against the Palestinians as soon as possible, warning against the escalation of tension as it constitutes a serious threat to regional security and international stability.
