UAE pres. wishes success for GCC chief’s efforts to bolster joint action

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has wished success for the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassem Al-Budaiwi in his efforts to strengthen the joint Gulf action.

In a press statement, the GCC General Secretariat that this came during Sheikh Mohammad’s reception of Al-Budaiwi at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the UAE President congratulated Al-Budaiwai on his post, wishing him and all the GCC General Secretariat employees continued success to achieve the GCC prime goals of cementing cooperation and integration among GCC states and meeting the aspirations of the Arabian Gulf peoples for further progress, development and welfare.

For his part, Al-Budaiwi thanked Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed for his continuous support for joint Gulf action.

He affirmed the continuation of efforts to enhance and develop the Gulf Cooperation Council and achieve the aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries.

Al-Budaiwi congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, praying to the Almighty to bless the peoples of the Gulf countries and all Muslims.

The statement added that Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed and Al-Budaiwai discussed during the meeting a number of issues related to the joint Gulf action and the efforts exerted to advance the GCC march and to enhance coordination, cooperation and integration among the GCC states.
