UK PM hands Kuwait Int’l Sword to best Cadet in Sandhurst ceremony

 

– Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II representative, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, handed the Kuwait International Sword to German officer Karl Halscher during the British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst graduation ceremony Friday.
The International Sword was presented to Officer Cadet Hilscher, who the Commandant considered to be the best international cadet of the batch.
The Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard, Lieutenant-General Hashem Abdulrazzaq Al-Rifai, participated in the graduation ceremony.
Two Kuwaitis graduated from the academy, the student officer Salem Khaled Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah from the Kuwaiti army and the student officer Saad Sultan Al-Dosari from the National Guard.
In a statement to KUNA and Kuwait TV, Al-Rifai said that his participation in the ceremony comes on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Head of the National Guard and Deputy Chief of the National Guard, lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
This is the first time that a student of the National Guard has graduated from this academy since it’s founding in 1967, he added.
Al-Rifai also noted that the National Guard is taking ambitious steps to expand its 2025 education strategic plan.
The Kuwait International Sword is awarded by the Commandant to the best student in the Sandhurst Academy in memory of Sheikh Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
