Volunteer Women’s Association celebrates nat’l holidays in Red Palace

In a patriotic atmosphere, the Red Palace in the Jahra region witnessed a celebration held by Kuwait Volunteer Women’s Association for Community Services on the occasion of National Day and Liberation Day.

The Chairwoman of the Association Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah said in a press statement Wednesday that choosing the place to hold the celebration annually is one of the important edifices, and a historical symbol that records a rich history of the heroics of fathers and grandfathers in the Battle of Jahra, which embodies all the meanings of steadfastness and redemption that Kuwaitis have in defense of their homeland.

The celebration witnessed welcoming texts from the Kuwaiti scout team, as well as singing presented by a band, in addition to many writings and competitions for children, along with a heritage exhibition held in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Heritage Society, the 965 Expo Group and the Project Leaders Team.
