Al-Maliki And The UK Ambassador Discuss Developments in the Political and Security Situation Internationally and Regionally

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, discussed with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson-Richardson, the latest developments in the political and security situation at the international and regional levels, in addition to discussing ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.

Al-Maliki’s office said in a statement: “The meeting witnessed an emphasis on continuing constructive cooperation, supporting Iraq’s efforts to enhance stability and security, meeting the demands of the Iraqi people, supporting the Iraqi government in carrying out reform and development, and opening new paths to develop the level of relations between the two countries.”

The head of the State of Law Coalition called on British companies to enter the Iraqi market and contribute to the construction and reconstruction process, exchange experiences and develop the economic reality, rehabilitate the infrastructure, advance the status of services, and support the private sector, indicating: “The government is serious about advancing the economic reality and returning work to projects that stopped during the last period “.

In turn, Ambassador Bryson affirmed his country’s interest in developing relations with Iraq in all fields, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two friendly peoples.
