Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that the government welcomes the participation of Austrian companies in all sectors of construction and infrastructure that are witnessing steady development.

A statement by his media office said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, Monday, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Iraq, Andrea Nassi, and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries, all European Union countries, and ways to enhance partnership in various fields.

The Prime Minister pointed out that Iraq seeks to establish balanced international relations, based on mutual interests, in a way that serves sustainable development and supports stability in the region, stressing that the government welcomes the participation of Austrian companies in all sectors of construction and infrastructure, which are witnessing steady development.

The meeting discussed also the two countries’ intention to sign an air transport services agreement, which include
s operating direct flights between Iraq and Austria, as well as completing the procedures for supplying the Austrian company Bauer to Iraq with irrigation sprinklers, which comes within the framework of the government’s direction to use modern irrigation technologies in agriculture.
