Kuwait embassies in Egypt, Czech Republic, Slovakia celebrate nat’l holidays

Kuwait’s embassies in Egypt, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, celebrated the state’s national holidays.

During the celebrations held in Cairo Egyptian Minister for Petroleum and Mineral resources, Tareq Al-Mulla relayed a speech on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli.

In the speech, he extended sincere congratulations on the glorious occasions to the Kuwaiti government and people, wishing them further progress and prosperity.

He spoke of Kuwait being Egypt’s third largest strategic Arab partner, and fourth largest global trade partner, with Kuwaiti investments of more than USD 15 billion.

On sideline of the celebrations, League of Arab States Assistant General Secretary Ambassador Ahmad Khatabi commended Kuwait’s commitment to Arab League charter, and its keenness on bolstering Arab solidarity.

As for Kuwait’s Ambassador to Egypt, and its permanent envoy to the Arab League, Ghanem Al-Ghanem, he stated in a speech, “I stand before you today proud of Kuwait’s holidays, and grateful for this celebration on the beloved land of Egypt, and in our hearts and minds sentiments of brotherhood, pride and respect extending from Kuwait’s towers and Arabian Gulf all the way to Egyptian Pyramids and its free-flowing Nile,” Ambassador Rashed Al-Hajiri of the Kuwaiti embassy in the Czech Republic, spoke with pride about the 62nd independence day and 32nd liberation day, commending the exceptional bilateral relations between the two countries, as the two are to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations this year.

On his part, the first vice president of the Czech senate, Jiri Drahos, the event’s guest of honor, hailed the depth of relations between the two friendly nations.

As for the Kuwaiti embassy in Slovakia, it hosted a large celebration where Ambassador Essa Al-Shamali described these occasions as a reflection of the loyalty, belonging and cohesion of the Kuwaiti people and their wise leadership.

He attributed the notable attendance to Kuwait political leadership’s wise and poised approach.

The ambassador further affirmed the special relations between the two countries, praising the level of cooperation and coordination with Slovakian establishments whether during evacuation process of Kuwaiti citizens during the coronavirus pandemic or the Ukrainian crisis.

The Kuwaiti ambassadors all congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on these occasions.

Joining in the celebrations, in each embassy, was a host of high officials, diplomats and notable figures.
