Qatar Amb. commends firm ties with Kuwait

— Qatari Ambassador in Kuwait Ali bin Abdullah Saturday touted Qatari-Kuwaiti relations as having proved to be time-tested and firm, based on honorable positions reflected throughout history.

In a statement marking Qatar’s National Day, which falls on December 18, the ambassador said under directions froth both countries’ leaderships, bilateral relations have been promoted and cemented in all domains.

He reminisced about the sincere efforts of the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which was then completed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in resolving the inter-Gulf crisis.

He, further, congratulated the Kuwaiti political leadership on the outcomes and output of the recent national dialogue held at the behest of His Highness the Amir to ensure national unity and bolster executive-legislative cooperation.

The Qatari diplomat reiterated that his country is committed to establishing democratic principles by means of providing all guarantees and freedoms for Qatari citizens, offering them a decent life based on freedom, justice, equity, equal opportunities and the freedom of opinion.

On preparations for the 2022 World Cup to be hosted by Qatar, he said all required arrangements and preparations involving infrastructure facilities are in full swing.
