Shura Council Speaker to Head Saudi Delegation to 17th Periodical Meeting of GCC Speakers of Shura, National, Parliamentary Councils

Doha, Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh is leading Saudi Arabia’s delegation for the Qatar-hosted 17th periodic meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Speakers of Shura, National, and Parliamentary Councils.

In a press statement, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to promoting GCC unity and enhancing relations within the council. The goal is to foster constructive joint actions that contribute to the realization of ambitions and the advancement of progress and prosperity.

Additionally, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh highlighted the significance of the shura, national, and parliamentary councils in GCC countries. He emphasized their role in parliamentary diplomacy, such as supporting joint GCC initiatives, fostering increased parliamentary coordination, and facilitating positions of mutual interest and constructive cooperation at regional and international levels.
