France calls on Iran to fulfill all commitments on nuclear deal

PARIS, France has called on Iran to comply with all provisions of the nuclear deal to avoid further escalation, due to Tehran’s announcement to reduce its obligations under the agreement.

A statement by the French Foreign Ministry said France is making great efforts to calm tensions, while Iran should not violate nuclear agreement and return to full compliance.

Iran must not breach the nuclear contract again and to adhere full terms of the agreement of France’s objectives and efforts, statement added.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the third phase of reducing Iran’s obligations is under the nuclear deal that would begin on Friday.

In 2015, Iran signed a nuclear deal with the P5+1, which includes the five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany.

US President Donald Trump announced in May 2018 the withdrawal from the deal and imposed sanctions on Tehran targeting the sectors of banking, energy, and minerals.
