LONDON, Majority of the UK House of Common members on Friday voted in favor of the government Brexit deal and completing relevant measures by end of next month.
Up to 359 deputies voted in support of the accord; along with a draft resolution barring extension of the interim period after December 2020. Up to 234 lawmakers voted against it.
The voting paves the way for Boris Johnson’s government to ensure Britain’s exit from the European Union before end of January and finalizing free trade negotiations with the EU by December 2020.
The MPs are scheduled to pursue debates on some amendments on the draft Brexit deal early next month, ahead of referring the modifications to the House of Lords and then to the Queen to become binding by the end of January.
