JEDDAH, Foreign Ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s member countries approved Wednesday the draft final communique of the OIC summit, due in Makkah on May 31.
The top diplomats held a one-day meeting in Jeddah to prepare for the OIC’s 14th regular summit.
Kuwait was represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and senior ministry officials.
OIC Secretary General Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen said earlier the Islamic countries should intensify consultations vis-a-vis critical challenges, which undermined regional and international security and stability.
Makkah will also host two urgent summits of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab League on Thursday.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is scheduled to chair the delegation of the State of Kuwait to the three summits.
