Palestine to continue bids at ICC to open probe into Israel’s crime

RAMALLAH, Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Friday it would continue attempts at the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open a “serious and official” investigation into Israel’s crime against the Palestinian people, and punishing “Israeli war criminals.” It added in a statement the US biased to the Israeli occupation “and the American officials’ hostile statements against our people and their right, are encouraging the Israeli government to continue its aggression and all-out war against our people and their land.” This American position, it added, “is like an umbrella for the protection of occupation army’s riminals and murderers, and gangs of terrorist settlers.” The ministry condemned the Israeli suppression of peaceful protests, which killed and wounded hundreds of Palestinians.

It urged the countries “which claim to protect human rights,” to stop the suppression of the Palestinian people.
