DOHA, Qatar, The Qatari government, reiterated on Wednesday, backing to the Kuwaiti Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s efforts, to resolve the Gulf crisis, through dialogue.

The Qatari cabinet has lauded the Amir of Kuwait’s eagerness, to retain the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) cohesion, and to hold the 38th GCC Summit, on time, despite the current delicate situation, said Qatari Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Hassan Al-Mohannadi, in a statement, following the Qatari cabinet meeting, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

The Qatari government is also appreciative of the sincere and constructive efforts of the Amir, to push forward joint GCC action, Al-Mohannadi stated.

It also welcomed the Amir’s forming of a special committee, to consider the amendment of the GCC charter, to set a clear mechanism for pan-GCC disputes settlement, in line with the GCC charter, and based on mutual respect, to help unite Gulf states, in the face of regional and international challenges.
