40 terrorists neutralized in “Operation Claw” north Iraq

ANKARA, More than 40 terrorists were neutralized in ‘Operation Claw’ in 13 days, Turkish National Defense Ministry said Friday.

In addition, a total of 74 shelters and 53 mines used by PKK terrorists in the Hakurk region were also destroyed, the ministry added. The Turkish Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Claw’ against the PKK terror group on May 27.

The operation aimed to destroy shelters and caves used by the PKK and “neutralized” its members – a term it commonly uses to refer to deaths, but also to those wounded or captured.
