Confirmed coronavirus cases in US rise to 11

WASHINGTON, Feb 3 (KUNA) Two coronavirus cases have been confirmed Monday in California, bringing up the cases across the US to 11.

The Health and Human Services Agency in San Benito County in California said in a statement that two cases of confirmed in San Benito County.

It indicated that the confirmed cases are husband and wife, where the husband “recently traveled from Wuhan, China the wife did not.” “Therefore, there has been person to person transmission. Both patients have not left their home since returning from China,” it added.

It affirmed that the San Benito County Public Health Services “provided guidance for home isolation and is closely monitoring their medical condition,” but they are “not hospitalized.” On Sunday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) began enforcing restrictions for all passenger flights to the US carrying individuals who have recently traveled from China.

China’s National Health Commission (NHC) announced today that the death toll reached 361 people and 17,238 confirmed cases caused by coronavirus in 31 cities and provinces in China.
