WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that decisions on the US response to the apparent chemical attack in Syria over the weekend will be “made fairly soon.” “We’re having a number of meetings today, we’ll see what happens,” Trump said in remarks prior to a White House meeting on US agricultural issues.
“We’re obviously looking at that very closely..I will be leaving here, I was there..I will be going back as soon as this meeting is over,” Trump said.
“We’re looking very, very closely at that whole situation,” he added.
“We’ll see what happens, folks..It’s too bad the world puts us in a position like that..We’ve done a great job with ISIS (the so-called Islamic State)..Now we have to make some further decisions,” the US president added.
