Deputy FM heads to UK for joint steering group meeting

Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah headed Sunday to Britain to lead Kuwait’s delegation at the 12th meeting of UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group, to be held between June 26 and 27.

The Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting includes Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Ambassador Walid Al-Khubaizi and Assistant Foreign Minister for the Deputy Foreign Minister’s office, Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar.

The UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group was formed during His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to London in 2012.

The group’s membership includes a number of Kuwaiti and British sate ministries and bodies. It holds its meetings alternately between Kuwait and London.

Over the last six years, the joint group was able to take the historic Kuwaiti-British relationship to new prospects and boost their strategic partnership in various fields.
