Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met on Monday with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop on the occasion of her visit to the country and participation in International Coalition Against IS, and Kuwait International Conference for Reconstruction in Iraq (KICRI), hosted in Kuwait.
During the meeting, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled praised bilateral relations with Australia and the historic and strategic partnership between Kuwait and Australia.
The meeting concluded with signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on establishing high-level talks between the governments of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran, Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Saleh Al-Logani, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
