Iran urges N-deal compensation demands are met

Iran urged five remaining signatory countries to an agreement, aimed at limiting Tehran’s nuclear activities, to do more to urge its conditions are met after the US recently pulled out from the deal, reports said on Thursday.

In a telephone call with his French President Emmanuel Macron, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that an economic compensation package, proposed by European countries, “does not meet all our demands.” He added that he hoped the five countries would be addressing the matter as their foreign ministers meet in Vienna on Friday.

For his part, Macron assured his Iranian counterpart that France remained committed to the deal.
